Naomi Watts

 

Naomi Ellen Watts was born 28 September 1968. After her family relocated to Australia and Watts made her film film debut in For Love Alone (1986). Then she appeared in three television shows: Hey Dad.. (1990), Brides of Christ(91), and Home and Away (91), and Flirting (1991). Watts made the move to America in 2000. She initially struggled as an actress. In actual fact, she was only able to fill minor roles in films prior to becoming an aspiring actress in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive psychological thriller. Her rise to global fame was triggered by this role. Watts was a depressed journalist in The Ring, a horror film that was made into a remake. Her performance as grieving mother in Alejandro's 21 Grams (2003) was nominated her for the Academy Award. Her fame has grown as she starred in I Heart Huckabees (2004). King Kong (2006), Eastern Promises ((2007)) and The International (2009). Watts was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress for her role in The Impossible (2012). In the decade of 2010, Watts appeared in films such as Birdman (2014) St. Vincent (2014) St. Vincent (2015), While We're Young (2016), The Glass Castle (2017) and Luce (2018). Watts continued her acting career through blockbuster appearances, including in Divergent (2015-2016).
